Springfield XD 4″ Service

The Springfield XD 4″ Service Model is the original, duty-size XD configuration – a proven, striker-fired 9mm pistol that strikes a practical balance between capacity, accuracy and all-day carry comfort.

Built on a polymer frame with a forged steel slide, the XD 4″ uses Springfield’s striker-fired system combined with multiple passive safety features. The signature grip safety must be depressed for the pistol to fire, working together with the trigger safety and internal firing pin safety to help prevent accidental discharge when the firearm is handled correctly.

The 4-inch barrel and full-size grip provide a stable sight radius and excellent control under recoil, making the pistol comfortable to shoot for extended range sessions while still being manageable to carry in a quality holster.

In its popular 9mm configuration, the XD 4″ Service Model is typically supplied with:

This gives you a total of 16+1 rounds on tap with each mag, offering strong capacity in a proven, reliable platform.

The pistol includes both a loaded chamber indicator and a striker status indicator, allowing you to verify the condition of the firearm by sight and feel. Fixed three-dot sights give a clean, easy-to-acquire sight picture, and front and rear slide serrations make manipulation simple, whether you’re chambering a round, performing a press check or clearing a stoppage.

Textured grip panels provide a secure hold, even with sweaty or gloved hands, and the overall ergonomics of the XD platform make it suitable for a wide range of hand sizes.
